WE ARE BLESSED TO BE RAISING KIDS AND CALVES!

We’re trying something new around here. We’ve recently purchased some American Aberdeen (formerly called Lowline Angus) cows. These four cows are bred but when it’s time to re-breed, they will run with our Miniature Hereford bull Moses. The goal is to take the hybrid vigor obtained by crossing Hereford bulls to Angus cows and put it in a small frame animal. The result is a super efficient animal that will finish well on grass alone.

As the weather gets better, it’s getting busy around here. Keegan has begun working with his full size Angus steer for 4H (he doesn’t have a Miniature Hereford 4H option locally). He is working “Tank” as well as “Aaron” our 2019 Miniature Hereford Market Steer.
